British photographer Nick Knight begin in 1982 documenting the subculture of skinheads for an artist book with sections devoted to their style factors of hair and dress. The work led to fashion commissions from i-D and Yoshi Yamamoto, and regular campaigns. His creation of SHOWstudio in 2000, brought a necessary forum for art and fashion online, specifically as the home of fashion film.
