Ageless Parisien Sonia Rykiel was my gateway drug into fashion. As a teenager reading Vogue I fell in love with Sonia and then saw Altman's Prêt-à-Porter, the window into her world. She represents the art of French fashion - chic, playful and visionary. Her retrospective last year at Les Arts Decoratifs surveyed 40 years of creation but somehow she reminds us every season that style cannot get old.
