Ami Sioux

Ami Sioux is a fashion photographer living and working in Paris. Born in 1972 in Stockton, California, she attended the San Francisco Art Institute and graduated with a BFA in new genres. Then in 1998, she went on to establish her work as a photographer. In 2001, she moved to Paris and then on to Berlin, where she began shooting for magazines such as Sportswear International and Sport & Street. After her return to Paris in 2005, she began contributing regularly to i-D, Self Service, and Jalouse magazine.

Her portrait work has been shown in magazines such as T: The New York Times Style magazine, AnOther magazine, Paper and Tank. She has just released her second book, entitled Paris 48°49n 2°29e . The first book in this series was released in 2006, entitled Reykjavik 64°08n 21°54w.
